Day 1 - a nice quiet start, quite homely and serene. We enjoyed a relaxing family meal with my grandparents, aunt, uncle and cousins who are next door. Day 2 - went to the Monsal Trail and then bought a Bakewell tart......Day 3 - went to the Chatsworth farm park.......enjoyed local fish and chips. Hartshill is provided with all one might need, including a pretty garden. Well situated for walking into town downhill! The cottage is warm and comfy and we loved having a bathroom with both bath and shower. View from bedroom pleasant. Kind and thoughtful owners made our stay extra special. We have just spent a wonderful week in the cottage, ideally placed on the outskirts of Bakewell with lots of space for our toddler to roam. We’ve been to Matlock Farm Park, Chatsworth, Heights of Abraham, walking at Lathkill Dale & Monsal Head and never had more than 20 mins drive – perfect. I enjoyed staying here at this cottage. It had everything we needed and it felt like home. I would definitely come again. I loved the view and I would live here. The garden was very pretty and the rooms were nice and big. I love the location of the Peak District. It’s different to where I live and it’s very unique. Thank you.
